Reconnecting…

HAPPY LABOR DAY!

I cannot believe that the summer went so fast! I also can’t believe that the last email I sent was in May! This is long overdue…..

Two things factored in as to why I have been so quiet:

  1. It was the busiest summer I have had.

  2. I took way too long to take a vacation! Any ounce of creativity I had was out the window.

What changed?

I just retuned from 10 days in Montana. I started with a yoga retreat in Whitefish. When that was over, I rented a car and drove solo to Yellowstone, with a two night “layover” in Bozeman. For this avid traveler, this might have been my best trip yet. Turns out, this city girl likes a road trip in nature. I feel rested, creative, and inspired.

What was so special about this trip?

I moved my body in ways that make me feel good every day-hiking, walking, yoga.

I spent a TON of time in nature. Did you know that nature connectedness can promote the following: calmness, joy, and creativity? Being in fresh air helps with serotonin levels which reduces anxiety and depression.

I connected both at the retreat and during my road trip with like-minded individuals. Social connection is so important for our mental and physical health. (I also bought some great boots).

This trip was perfectly aligned with the core values of my treatment philosophy:

MOVE. BREATHE. CONNECT

It really does work.

On that note, I am thinking of doing a FREE 30 day challenge surrounding these principles. Think of it as a “back to school” reset for health coming off the summer which somehow always seems indulgent. I am still working on details. Please let me know if this might interest you!
