How Time Flies!
It is hard to fathom that Thanksgiving is 2 weeks away. What are you grateful for this year?! I know that I am grateful for the continued support from my community…YOU! I continue to grow thanks to your referrals and repeat business. SLPTNYC exists because of your unwavering support. Thank you.
Mental Health Matters
I cannot dive into business without first asking how you are doing. The terrorist attack on Israel, the humanitarian crisis developing, and the daily increase of tension in the Middle East has been overwhelmingly stressful. You can feel it in the air here in NYC. In times like these, we have to take extra good care of ourselves and one another. I will continue to hold space for you and your loved ones as you need me.
Reconnecting…
I just retuned from 10 days in Montana. I started with a yoga retreat in Whitefish. When that was over, I rented a car and drove solo to Yellowstone, with a two night “layover” in Bozeman. For this avid traveler, this might have been my best trip yet. Turns out, this city girl likes a road trip in nature. I feel rested, creative, and inspired.
May Days are for Mental Health
May happens to be Mental Health Awareness Month. Some of you might wonder why, as a PT, I often spotlight this topic. Well, it’s personal AND professional.

Implementation and Growth in the New Year
Happy 2023! Is anyone else exhausted? Kind of glad it’s all over? I am! Don’t get me wrong. I love the magic of it all but the pace is relentless. There is travel, sleeping in a strange bed with terrible pillows, spending too much money, wine, cookies, more wine, chocolate, the weird guest at dinner, not enough exercise, not enough water….and you wake up on January 1 and say, ‘that is it!’. Time to make some changes, get back on track, new year, new me etc. Sound familiar?
Who wants to live longer, healthier, happier?
As a physical therapist for more than 20 years, treating orthopedic injuries of adults of all ages, I think I have great insight on what contributes to longevity and how I might play a role. Based on what I have witnessed throughout my career, my framework for treatment is: MOVE, BREATHE, CONNECT.
Less Foot Pain and Supporting Girls on the Run
I hope the summer is off to a great start. While the season brings BBQs, beach days, and travel, it also brings some questionable footwear choices-flip flops, fashion sneakers, and pointy-toe ballet flats to name a few.
ACS in El Camino Success!
I just wanted to take a minute and share with you that my journey on El Camino de Santiago was a success! As you know, I joined a team from the American Cancer Society in Porto, Portugal on May 7th. 8 days and 125 miles later, we reached St. James Cathedral in Santiago.
Tips To Help Boost Your Immune Response to Covid Infection
As you know move, breathe, connect is my philosophy for pain management. It can also be used for the health of your immune system.
Happy and Healthy New Year from SLPTNYC
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for being part of the SLPTNYC journey and wish you all peace, love, and good health for 2022.

Celebrate National Self-Care Awareness Month
Did you know that September is National Self-Care Awareness Month? I love how it coincides with "back to school'. This time of year always feels like the start of something new and I think most of us try to get back into the routine of life after an indulgent summer.
